Nice AU light cleaning

Hungarian nobleman, formidable warrior and diplomat, Gabriel Bethlen knew how to preserve the independence of his country and the freedom of worship granted by the emperor to the Reformed Protestants even under the most difficult conditions. Eminent disciple of Calvin, he successfully saved - despite the defeat of the Bohemian Reformed Protestants by the imperial armies in 1620 - the achievements obtained by Stephen II Bocskay, which earned him his statue on the Reformation Wall in Geneva. He also managed to maintain his position despite being surrounded by his powerful neighbors; the Holy Roman Empire and the Ottoman Empire. We are amazed by the fineness of the details of this almost immaterial portrait. Extremely light strike doubling, difficult to master during a hammer strike and due to the immense dimensions of the piece, adds a touch of magic, as if a passing breeze had gently caressed the severe traits of the portrait.

Seigneur hongrois, formidable homme de guerre et diplomate, Gabriel Bethlen sait préserver l’indépendance de son pays et la liberté de culte octroyée par l’empereur aux Réformés, dans les conditions les plus difficiles. Éminent disciple de Calvin, il réussit à sauver – malgré la défaite des Réformés bohèmes en 1620 par les armées impériales – les acquis obtenus par Étienne II Bocskay, qui valurent à celui-ci d’avoir sa statue sur le Mur des réformateurs à Genève. Il parvient à se maintenir entre ses redoutables voisins, le Saint Empire et l’Empire ottoman 1. On est frappé par la finesse des traits de ce portrait presqu’immatériel. Un léger tréflage dû aux dimensions impressionnantes de la pièce est difficile à éviter lors d’une frappe au marteau, ajoute une touche de magie, comme si une brise légère avait passé une caresse aérienne sur les traits sévères du portrait 2.
